Automotive Window Stickers Sell Cars

Monday, April 28th, 2008
by Richard Brown

Whether you are experienced in the art of auto sales, or you are selling one vehicle in your own neighborhood, the goal is the same: as much profit as possible. Your objective is to make more money in the sale than you spent in purchasing the vehicle and preparing it for sale. There are various ways in which you can improve your chances to sell, but one very effective, and often overlooked, way is to have window stickers on each vehicle you sell.

Because of past experiences most car buyers are wary of car salesmen. It is ingrained in their psyches to distrust salespeople, and to assume that they are out to get you. As a dealer, you should try to ease the customers’ fears as much as possible, and make them feel comfortable in your dealership (or community).

Let your inventory be its own sales force. If a customer likes a vehicle, and is comfortable with the information that he has been given about that vehicle, he may be willing to make the purchase without ever speaking to you or another salesperson. That’s where a professional window stickers comes in.

Car window stickers provide the potential customer with all of the information that you want them to know. It will tell them the price you are asking for the vehicle, the condition of the vehicle, what warranties or other coverages you are offering, and other details that are important to car shoppers. However, vehicle stickers do this in a way that is very different from conventional methods: they provide this information without the middleman (the salesperson). This not only makes the interested party more confident, it can give them the feeling that they have done their homework on the car, and therefore they will be more willing to make the deal.

Moreover, the price you put on the window sticker is key. Many shoppers will take for granted that the price on the equipment sticker is the only price for which you are willing to sell the car. For that reason, if they are comfortable with the car after reading the window sticker, they will often be willing to buy the car or truck without haggling.

Obviously, equipment stickers can significantly increase your profits with very little investment, and even less time, on your part. It is a step you absolutely must take to maximize your profits. Even if you are just selling your old car in your backyard, this is something that is worth the time and effort.

Your Dream Car at a Police Impound Auction

Saturday, April 26th, 2008
by Steve Forman

In the US and in almost all developed countries worldwide, car auctions are often held in towns and communities. If you are on a fixed amount and want a good car, then try a online car auction. Car auctions are a good way for getting a car below it’s trade-in value, and often far below. Auction sales are a good way to buy and sell vehicles. These auctions are an great way of obtaining cars that have been repossessed, or are bargain used cars. Usually, car auctions are put together by the police, the government or auction dealers. Car auctions are avaliable to the everyone and do not require you to have any license .

One of the most cost effective ways of buying vehicles is through government sales, these dispersal sales are held all over the country. Although government auctions are designed to be neutral and transparent, it is important to remember that no government sale can guarantee the condition of the car being sold. Auctions can be tricky because that’s where the junked, flooded, and rebuilt cars are most likely to sold. You really need to know what your looking at.

A lot of auction sales are not advertised in the usual way on tv, radio, and newspaper and the people who benefit from these auctions are happy to keep it that way. Vehicles in these auctions can be well maintained and in most cases, used for only a year or two. Cars sold at police auctions may be either decommissioned units, repoed, impounded or government seized-cars from drug raids, drunken driving and taken from criminals.

Vehicles like BMWs and Mazdas are available at a greatly reduced market retail value. Luxury cars found at repossessed car sales are great buys for the purchaser and very often the original owner would have already bought the luxury tax. Lists of cars are announced a few days before the auction so there’s lots of time to get a good look. When buying from one of these auctions, units can be sent to the purchaser for a minimal fee. Cars at times may be very well maintained and are loaded with options that most buyers want.

There are some reasons why cars are so cheap. Car sales are rarely advertised a lot. Another reason is the auction guide lines seem rather complex to many buyers and a lot of terms like “seized” and “confiscated” tend to be misunderstood as “trashed”. But on the other side of the coin, repo, government surplus, police or public car auction sales can get you great cars, complete with vehicle histories. The greatest range of choices, the best car models all for the best prices being sold for much less than at conventional car dealerships or a distributor.

Today, lots of deals happen on the internet and online car auctions are popping up every where. With internet car auctions, you can buy a vehicle when you are traveling, when you are at home or anytime you like. Car auction sales are probably a good reason why some people can keep exchanging their cars. These sales are a good deal for dealers who purchase the best vehicles and turn around and sell them at a greater price.

Locating these auctions is the tricky part. Most auto auctions have a database full of many hundreds of different vehicles waiting for a bid. Information about repossessed, public car auctions are readily available through websites online. You should watch a few auctions to observe the bidding process before bidding. A few car auctions are only for dealers to attend, but the majority are open to everyone and most are a good place to find a good car. With some searching and a little luck you should be see that these car auctions are a good option for finding a good used car and save some thousands of dollars.

Ways to Deal with Transporting Your Specialty Car

Tuesday, April 15th, 2008
by L.Buckley

Be certain when you are investigating exotic car transport companies that exotic and custom-made cars are their specialty and they are experts. Many exotic car transport companies will offer worldwide vehicle transportation solutions to individuals.

Exotic car transport companies use various methods and vehicles to move your car long distances, such as custom designed flatbed trucks, enclosed single and double non-stacking trailers and enclosed rail service. Your car will probably travel flat without being tied down by chains.

Schedule your auto transport at least 4 weeks before move, giving enough time to arrange for a car carrier to pick up your vehicle. If you are promised exact dates, get it in writing and state the remedy if service is not performed on promise dates.

Make sure the necessary route for pickup or delivery is accessible by the carrier. Common problems include narrow streets, government regulations and low hanging overhead objects. If you need to arrange a different location because of interferences then you need to notify the driver as soon as possible.

If the vehicle is not operational you’ll pay extra for winching services and some car transport companies may not be able to accept your shipment. The more miles the more dollars you will have to cough in terms of your car shipping cost.

Often times, there are moments when the truck has one space for an extra car ready to take off. Yet it will use the same fuel if it is heading to your location of delivery. So, rather than move with an empty space, they might as well transport your car for peanuts

The Best Gas Mileage SUV in 2008

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008
by John T. Goodman

SUV fuel economy is a contradiction in terms; As a matter of fact, SUVs are known as the biggest gas guzzlers that the average American can buy. So when searching for the best gas mileage SUV rating, be prepared to discover that none will get good gas mileage; it’s just that some are less bad than others!

People who buy SUVs in today’s economy are obviously not concerned with fuel economy. But there are car companies like Subaru that market their bigger vehicles to the few environmentally conscious SUV buyers. But these vehicles do not get great gas mileage either. But at least this type of vehicle may be the best gas mileage SUV you can find.

The SUV category is pretty flexible. Although they are supposed to be rugged vehicles equipped for off-road driving, the reality is much different. Many SUVs are simply status symbols for people who like to show off or drive something larger than other vehicles.

SUVs sit higher off the road and are heavier than most other vehicles, making them generally safer in crashes. However, SUV crashes often result in deadly rollovers, due to the higher center of gravity from having this higher stance off the road. That isn’t to say that SUVs are not safe; they are just not as safe as most people think.

But what is the definition of a SUV? A car like the Saturn Outlook, for example, might be considered an SUV but might not. Would a crossover car qualify for the best gas mileage SUV? This is open to debate, but suffice to say that any vehicle large enough to make you feel like you’re driving a SUV should qualify it to fit in the SUV category.

The best gas mileage SUV can still be terrible on gas. Because for the money that you could spend buying a new SUV, you could get a vehicle that was truly fuel-efficient, like a Toyota Prius. Doing your research might just make you come to the conclusion that you don’t even want a big, gas-guzzling vehicle..

If you don’t have much to carry around and don’t drive in the snow, why pay extra money for a SUV? Instead, invest in a hybrid car and let’s get some independence from the choke-hold that the middle east has on our economy!

How To Convert Your Car To Run On Water - Increase Gas Mileage

Tuesday, March 18th, 2008
by Pete Roberts

HHO gas is the latest innovation to increase gas mileage you may have seen it in the news. When you make an HHO fuel cell for you car or truck you will increase power and improve emissions. Your car will be a water hybrid of sorts by using water that is broken down to HHO gas or brown’s gas.

An HHO Generator creates HHO gas and is not exactly zero point energy but you can expect to see and increase in gas mileage of 20 - 50%. Some are even seeing increases above 50%. By adding extra cells it is often possible to increase gas mileage even more this is why it is best to have plans for a HHO kit.

HHO gas car kits sell online for hundreds or even thousands of dollars and they are worth every penny! Just think how much fuel savings you would have if per vehicle and if you had a fleet of vehicles the savings could be substantial! If you have a vehicle and you would like to make your own HHO or browns gas kit for your car or truck there is a lot of information available online.

HHo gas is can be burned in gas or diesel engines. This technology could help improve both diesel and gas mileage. By using using HHO gas you are using a gas that can be used by your engine as a supplement to help reduce your consumption of gasoline. This HHO gas is then mixed with your gasoline or diesel just before it enters the engine resulting in possible gas savings.

What is amazing is the process is so simple to convert water to gas. Just think hydrogen on demand system that costs you less than two tanks of gasoline when you fill up at the gas pump! What is nice is it requires very little modification to your vehicle and can be removed within minutes without leaving a trace. The parts to build this homemade hydrogen generator or hydrogen on demand system are easy to procure and most can be found around the home or shop for under $100 per vehicle or closer to $60 if you price shop online!

Through a process of electrolysis water that is in a sealed container under your hood is converted to hydroxy also known as browns gas or HHO gas. You can find a wealth of information online. This gas is then introduced to the airflow in the intake manifold using your engines vacuum. This gas is then mixed with the gasoline providing better gas mileage.

Many cars and truck have room near the firewall to put extra HHO cells. A V6 engine could benefits from additional cells. Very few modifications are required to hook up a cell. The overall benefits should be improved gas mileage.

There are many forums that focus on experimental HHO gas fuel cells or hydrogen cells also using a device called an aqua pulser that can even make the water fuel cell even more efficient. There are even plans and sources for creating a device that varies the frequency of the current introduced into the fuel cell to help the experimenter generate the most HHO gas.

Review Water4Gas - Is Water 4 Gas True?

Tuesday, March 18th, 2008
by Hayden Lim

Don’t you just hate the pain of rising gas prices? And the ridiculous part is - it’s still going up and up. Not only is gas hurting our pockets, it’s hurting our planet. And we have no choice but not to use cars too often. However, there are alterntives to gas, such as the ever essentail ‘water’. Here are the 5 benefits of converting water for gas now -

1. How Can You Build This System For Yourself? - Most people would choose to do it themselves as it is more affordable, although you also have the option buy an expensive hydrogen gas car kit from the market. If you choose to build this hybrid car system yourself, it should cost you less than $150, and you can do it from your own home. All you need are some cheap parts and materials that you can be bought at any hardware store.

2. Tax Refundable - Did you know you are eligible for an IRS refund if you use this new technology? The government will actually pay you for using green-friendly technology. Burning water for fuel is not only great for gas mileage, but it helps save the planet and pays you too, it’s a win-win for you and your environment. Since 2005 the IRS could not afford to continue ignoring alternative fuel anymore, and started giving considerable rewards for “green” cars, “green” fuels and “green” upgrades. You can potentially get back up to $2,000 for a car, or up to $50,000 for a truck.

3. Cheaper than a Hybrid Car - We’ve all heard and seen “hybrids”, but on the highway they are nothing but regular, inefficient cars. Their aerodynamics are a little better, but that’s true for many other cars that don’t have the Prius looks. It’s a great step forward though, if you can afford the price, because they make us think of alternative energy in more earthly terms.

4. How Does A Car Run on Water? In simple nutshell, your car battery is used to generate electricity to electrolyze water. By doing that, your car extracts a gas called oxyhydrogen or Brown Gas which is then used to produce energy large enough to run your car. The end product is oxygen and water.

5. The way you convert your car to burn water is actually very simple and a fun process. Make plans to take a day off, or on a Saturday, put a few simple components together, install them on your car, and in no time at all, you’ll have a water-burning super gas-efficient vehicle that runs very smooth and quiet, not to mention with more horsepower than before.

Ashworth Degree: New Mechanics

Thursday, March 13th, 2008
by Fabian Toulouse

Training to be an automotive technician can be a very rewarding decision. Most inclusive academy curriculums instruct students in the operation, components, performance, inspection, and modification of any and all automotive systems. The future student should study the complexities of the engine, drive train, transmission, fuel system, carburetor, starter, power system, drive train, emissions system, cooling system, lubricating system, and electrical system.

This is a highly valued skill. Customers are more than willing to pay for quality automotive service. The capacity to successfully diagnose and restore cars has traditionally been a worthwhile one. Moreover, highly-skilled mechanics often build a loyal clientele. Word of mouth can make or break a mechanic’s career. It behooves the future automotive student to know as much about his field of expertise as possible.

According to the Department of Labor, the employment opportunities for automotive training students are superb. Possible career choices include service mechanic, rental fleet mechanics, auto parts specialist, specialty shop technician, emissions inspector, accessories installer, test mechanic, electronics specialist, and more. There has never been a lack of demand for automotive repair specialists and mechanics.

Modern automotive systems are greatly dependent on integrated electronic systems. An assortment of complex electronics regulates vehicles and their performance. The modern automotive technician must be skilled at using electronic diagnostic equipment and digital manuals. Indeed, when a mechanic is attempting to troubleshoot a malfunction, he or she must first get an account of the problem. Then, they isolate each system, ensuring they are each working properly. As a part of their investigation, mechanics may test drive the vehicle in conjunction with using a range of diagnostic equipment and compression gauges. These tests not only find the faulty part or system, but they can decide whether or not the part or system is salvageable.

Regular service inspections, likewise, rely upon complex electronic diagnostic equipment. These routine inspections are meant to keep vehicles running smoothly, ensuring they have the necessary filters, fluids, and safety equipment in order. A skilled mechanic should be skilled at identifying any worn engine belts, spark plugs, brakes, fuel lines, intact hoses, and water lines.

The apparatus a skilled mechanic needs to master and be familiar with include a selection of power tools. Pneumatic wrenches quickly remove tire nuts, lathes and grinders repair brakes, torches and welding equipment repair exhaust systems, and jacks and hoists lift cars and engines. Additionally, mechanics must be skilled with common handtools like screwdrivers, pliers, and wrenches. More often than not, employers and service departments furnish the more costly power tools, engine analyzers, and other diagnostic equipment.

Owning A Double Wide Trailer

Thursday, March 13th, 2008
by Big T’O

Have you ever thought of how we rank everything on a continuum?

We love to compare things and then judge the worth of each thing and place it on a scale of what fair good and best.

This usually starts with individuals opinions and then as more people agree the rankings become a general consensus.

We do this with everything from what brand of butter we prefer to which hotel we are going to stay in. We also do this with housing choices.

When most people start out, they cannot afford to own their place. They usually begin with renting an apartment. For people in rural areas, often rentals will include a trailer home, or mobile home.

When people have enough money to purchase land but not yet enough to build a home, alternatives that are consider are double wide trailers.

The improvements that have been made on them are great.

Double wide trailers provide a great source of alternative for the person that does not have the money or the time to create a home from the ground up.

The construction process of the double wide trailers has greatly improved.

In the past double wide trailers used to look like the regular trailer houses only wider. Today it is not easy to be able to tell them apart from stick built homes. There are many models that you can choose from.

Some of these look like ramblers, others are two stories with dormers. If you have the time in the world, you can have one custom built regarding the lay out of the rooms. In most models that are new you get to pick out the flooring, wall colors, cabinets, bathroom fixtures, and trim just as you would in any other home built.

Many of the fifty-five and older communities in popular retirement areas are featuring the double wide trailer as the potential home for the future.

They can be placed on a basement foundation or on a slab; they can have decks attached, as well as garages built on to them.

Because of their sound construction they tend to be quite economical to heat and cool. Many resorts and golf courses are using them as their rental properties.

The price is lower because several of the homes can be worked on at one time by a crew that stays in one location. This cuts down on the labor cost.

Due to better construction materials and labor they are a sound alternative for housing.
