How to Maintain Self Motivation

Monday, March 31st, 2008
by Elliott Roberts

Self motivation is a gateway to self esteem and success. It is difficult to maintain for the simple reason that negativity is everywhere, which makes you insecure and kills creativity. Good ideas are criticized by the negativity of others who do not share our goals and ideals. It is easy to get discouraged, but the self motivated person gains from it and turns it into something positive. Check out these ideas to keep your motivation high.

Be aware of your self concept. Understand yourself. Plan your tasks and work methods around your strengths and weaknesses. So what if your co-worker does it differently. That is what works for him, not necessarily for you. You produce more efficiently if you take the time to customize everything around you.

Recognize success and reward yourself! Once you have set those tasks and put them to paper, review them each day and cross off the ones you completed for an instant pat on the back. The feeling of accomplishment makes you want to do more! Otherwise, you will be left droning from task to never ending task, unrewarded, feeling dread for the next day.

Dissect those great big tasks and turn them into smaller more manageable ones. It will eliminate a lot of stress and promote quicker starts as well as quicker completion.

Choose your company wisely. Not everyone is nice. Many otherwise good people are negative and do not know it. Don’t be afraid to shut out or at least limit those who often rain on your parade. Brother, Sister, or life long friend. If they do less than enrich your life, keep them at a distance so they do not hinder it.

Let go of anger. Mistakes happen and mess up the best plans. The only way to succeed is to manage them and move on.

Take care of yourself. Eat right and exercise. A healthy body and a healthy mind go hand in hand. Too often we neglect or put off our health plans when pursuing success in other areas.

Although difficult to keep yourself motivated, it is also easier because it depends on only you. So turn the negativity around, stay on track, reward yourself, and get ready to achieve your dreams.

Here’s A Quick Way To Attract Love With The Law Of Attraction!

Monday, March 31st, 2008
by Dick Ingersoll

The biggest question I am asked time and time again is how to use the Law of Attraction to attract love into your life. Some people have a certain person in mind; others are just looking for a new relationship. The Law of Attraction is more than capable of bringing you love - if you go about it the right way.

First and foremost, those of you with a hang-up on a particular person, I have bad news. You may not attract that person you so hope to attract. That’s not to say it’s impossible, and there’s a million reasons why you might be able to. However, more often than not what I’ve seen in my experience is that rather than a particular target, people attract someone who is an exponentially better match for them. So while you may groan, I have never met a person who was disappointed in the end.

Hand in hand with the previous statements, it is not wise to practice forceful visualizations involving a certain person. In energy terms, this is imposing your will upon others, and simply doesn’t work. Everyone has free will. When you begin doing your visualizations or playful intentioning, focus on the feeling of being with someone you deeply care about. Focus on the friendship, the romance, and the fun. Don’t put a face on the person, or put an imaginary face on them. Even if you manage to attract the person you’re interested in now, you will have more success with this tactic than with imagining that person specifically.

Lie back in your bath with a bottle of wine and think about walking hand in hand with your lover down the beach. Imagine dining out, taking walks, or talking lightheartedly until the sun arises. The more involved in this vision (imagining) you become, the more energy you’re sending out into the universe that says “bring me a person who can satisfy this role!” When this is done the right way, you will in all likelihood encounter somebody very quickly. But don’t worry about the time frame - just savor the vision.

Do this while you relax in the bath, as you hit the sack at night, and when you first waken. Picture this while you drive to your place of work or while sitting in traffic on the way home. The more you do this, the more potent it becomes. Your life will become filled with abundant, energy of love and attraction, and this will attract the right somebody to you. And when it comes about, don’t forget to express your gratitude!

Your Productivity Formula

Saturday, March 29th, 2008
by Elliott Roberts

A productivity formula is an individualized plan that helps you stay on task despite unexpected interruptions. The more of the interruptions you can handle as they come along prevents work pile up, resulting in higher productivity. Check out these self help tips to customize your productivity formula.

Have a definite plan. All your daily tasks are forms of short term goals. They should be the smaller pieces of the bigger project, or long term goal you are working toward. Take some time to review your daily routine. If it is not clearly affecting the big picture, start over. Make a new plan.

Once you have your clear plan you need to prioritize those tasks. Some are more important than others and some have definite deadlines. Organize them as such on your list, realizing that just as some must be finished that day, some can easily be forwarded to the next day if need be.

Schedule breaks to recharge. Walk around for a few minutes. Stretch. Play a quick game of spyder. Your body and your brain will feel better and work so much better that you will make up for the lost work time, even exceed it.

Don’t skip lunch. The body and the brain need nourishment to function properly. Your mind will be clearer and you will achieve better results when you take the time to eat.

To avoid burnout it is important to keep track of the tasks you complete as you go along because it boosts your confidence and motivation, in addition to keeping in touch with the progress of your work.

Deal with as many of the unexpected interruptions that you can, as they come. They usually just take a minute from what you are doing, but will turn into hours of daunting work if neglected.

Productivity can apply to what needs to be done at home, work, for the kids or for you. You have to get work done. Completing that work is called productivity. It makes life rewarding. When you develop your own productivity formula you will be amazed by how easy it to achieve the success you desire.

What Is Spiritual Personal Development?

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008
by Dr. G. Steve Kinnard

You might have read a personal development book within the last year or two. Have you ever read a book on spiritual personal development? What is the difference between the two? Personal development books are also called self-help books. Spiritual personal development is not “self-help.” Spiritual personal development is “God-help.” In that one change of words, from self-help to God-help, is a world of difference.

Spiritual: Spiritual personal development focuses on giving us the tools we need to become mature, spiritual, and productive disciples of Jesus. Spiritual personal development focuses on our spiritual nature. If we feed our spiritual hunger, then the character of God’s Spirit will grow in our hearts.

Personal: First, spiritual growth is a personal matter. Although we live with each other in community, each of us has a personal relationship with God that we must nurture. At the end of the day, each individual disciple is responsible for his or her own spiritual growth. Second, we all grow in different ways. We also grow at different speeds. In this way, spiritual growth is personal.

Development: “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.” Luke 2:52 Jesus grew. Growth is good. Since Jesus grew, we need to grow as well. We need to develop into the people that God meant for us to be. God wants us to mature. He is fully committed to helping us grow into solid, mature, fruitful disciples of Jesus.

Do you have a plan for your spiritual personal development? Most of us don’t. This web site will help you develop a plan for your spiritual personal development. It will help you ascertain your spiritual gifts. It will teach you how to make wise, spiritual choices. It will teach you various spiritual disciplines that will help you to connect with God and to feed your spirit. It will help you to set and to achieve spiritual goals in your life.

A wise man once said, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” Let the journey begin!

The Yoga and the Yoga Practice for beginners

Monday, March 24th, 2008
by Lillian Suamibinith

Yoga is a direct experience of the vast interrelatedness of all life and of all things. It is about learning from direct experience. It is control of mind and its modifications. Yoga is intimately connected to the religious beliefs and practices of the Indian religions.

Yoga is not…

Yoga is not running away from home and human habitation, but a process of moulding one’s attitude to home and society with a new understanding. It is not a turning away from life; it is spiritualization of life.

Yoga is not a religion, but an aid to the practice of the basic spiritual truths in all religions. It is not experienced like those obtained by taking lysergic acid or mescalin or peyote (of Mexican origin) or divine mushrooms. Yoga is not a medical practice, but it has been shown to be very helpful in many ways. Yoga is not just physical fitness training.

Meditation

In addition to practicing the poses, a typical Yoga class can also include instruction on breathing, call and response chanting, meditation, or even an inspirational reading by the teacher. The term of “power yoga” is usually used to differentiate the intense, flowing style of yoga they were teaching from the gentle stretching and meditation that many American people has largely associated with yoga. Power yoga will mostly appeal to people who are already quite fit, enjoy exercising, and want a minimal amount of chanting and meditation with their yoga.

Practice

Yoga practice can include the use of meditation, reflection, study and other classic elements, but the emphasis of the Yoga practice is on coordinating breath and movement. What is commonly referred to as “yoga” can be more accurately described by the Sanskrit word “asana”, which refers to the practice of physical postures or poses.

Practice asanas that draw your attention inward; forward bends and restorative poses. Outside India, Yoga is mostly associated with the practice of asanas (postures) of Hatha Yoga or as a form of exercise, although it has influenced the entire Indian religions family and other spiritual practices throughout the world.

It will not be out of place, therefore, for me to tell you frankly and clearly that not all that has been put across as Yoga is really Yoga. There are many heartening signs that this Yoga is being considered by many seekers in the West to be the most suitable method for the solution of the perplexing problems of their civilisation.

Yoga is an all day long practice. A surprising thing is that yoga is very effective in alleviating certain types of medical conditions. The physical foundation of yoga is a series of structured poses (asanas) performed with an increasing breath awareness. Yoga is a complete practice that joins back mind, body and spirit. Decide if yoga is right for you.

The Quick And Easy Way To Create An Intention List!

Monday, March 17th, 2008
by Dick Ingersoll

An intention list is a very powerful vehicle when it concerns manifesting with the Law of Attraction. In essence, an intention list is a list of everything you desire and anticipate actualizing. Building your list is a great manifestation meditation, and reexamining your list will add fuel to the fire. Let’s talk more about what an intention list is and how you are able to create one.

Ponder over all of the worldly pleasures you desire, and start to write them down. You may write things along these lines a plasma tv set, a brand-new automobile, a new residence, a great job, a million dollars, a vacation to Hawaii, etc. Just note down one item per line and write until you’ve depleted your goals. More will occur to you over the next hour and even week, and you’ll need to add them when they do.

Creating the list should put you in an excited frame of mind, which is perfect for manifesting. What you should do when the list is finished, since you’ll in all likelihood be tired out by then, is to display it in a place that you will look at it every day. Display it in your bathroom, or bedroom, or someplace that you are able to stop and look it over daily. You don’t need to study your full list every day! Several items will stand out at you as the most attention-getting, and what you should do then is to highlight those items.

Now each day when you pass your list, stop for a moment and read over the highlighted items. Imagine the feeling you will have when you obtain that item. Feel your excitement and happiness. Then continue with your day. By placing a little more energy into your intent day after day, you will find that several of your highlighted items will manifest quickly. When something on your intention list manifests, merely put a nice big checkmark by it and highlight another item that you want.

Bit by bit, you’ll observe that the items on your list are manifesting in your life, and each week your unrealized highlighted items will be changing. The more this happens, the more you will trust in the technique, and the quicker additional items will manifest. You will rapidly find that an intention list will be something you always choose to keep around. They’re fun to write, fun to read, and most especially, that fun translates into emotion which transforms into energy which translates into manifestation!

When you’ve entirely completed one list, tuck it aside someplace safe. One day you may savor looking back through previous lists and discovering just how much success you have experienced with the Law of Attraction. If that doesn’t appeal to you, I propose you to take a more pagan route - destroy the past list in order to free up the vitality it holds. You may burn the paper, flush it (piece by piece!) or bury it in the ground, anything to free it back into the universe as a realized goal. Whichever way you prefer to treat your old lists, I believe the accent is on realizing that you’ve successfully manifested your desires and that you may now use your energy to manifest new ones.

Happy manifesting!

Are You Willing To Follow 3 Steps to Use the Law of Attraction?

Monday, March 17th, 2008
by Dick Ingersoll

There’s a lot of debate around the Law of Attraction presently. The gigantic hit movie/book The Secret took the populace by storm. Because Oprah sprang on board, the entire country got acquainted with the Law of Attraction and the secrets of manifestation. The Secret did a superior job of presenting the law and exposing to us how we commonly work against ourselves. Even so, many people were left groping “how exactly do I practice the law of attraction?”

There are three major components in learning how to practice this powerful law to manifest the conveniences that we wish to have in our lives. First off is our beliefs. The things that we think about and hold endlessly in our head become part of our truth. Notwithstanding, a large portion of us are carrying nonsupporting ideas in our minds on a routine basis. How do we modify that?

We need to begin watching our thoughts. The easiest way to do this is to note how we are feeling. When we are feeling good, we are thinking thoughts that are affirming the things that we want in our life and sending positive manifestation energy out into the universe. When we are feeling bad, that is a red flag that we are holding thoughts that are not in our best interest.

This leads us to the second crucial element, our emotions. Emotions, which are triggered by the thoughts we are currently thinking, are the actualized energy that give an intention (or thought) the power to manifest. By noticing when we’re feeling out of sorts then changing our thought, we will set about altering the overall energy surrounding us. Once we become more focused on thinking positive, expanding thoughts, we’ll envision the universe around us change over to adjust to our new perceptions of ourselves. In this way of living our desires begin to manifest.

The third and final factor in the process of attraction is our ability to act when an opportunity is presented. In many cases, our manifestations will come about as opportunities. If we work on manifesting wealth, there may be a sudden business opportunity offered to us. If we act on that, we will do well. If we do not act on it, we will get nothing. So we must be willing to act upon whatever opportunities are presented to us for our manifestations.

Finally, once we are done sending our intentions out into the world, we must be patient and detached. Don’t focus endlessly on whether or not this will work, how long it will take, or any other doubtful thoughts. This kind of thinking destroys the work that we have done, and further instills more doubt. On the other hand, a patient, detached approach will allow our intentions to manifest, and will instill further faith in the process, which will assist things in moving faster next time. No wonder opinions about the Law of Attraction are very divisive!

Hopefully you’ve something to act upon now. Best of luck and may all your aspirations come true!

Why You Should Create a Manifestion Poster

Saturday, March 8th, 2008
by Dick Ingersoll

One of the most potent tools at your disposal when working with the Law of Attraction is a poster with your desires that you can hang on your wall. The reason for this is easy - any subconscious reminder of your goal that you will see day after day will further enforce your intent to the universe. So exactly what is a manifestation poster and how do you make one?

The simplest way to go about this is to buy yourself a nice large piece of poster board of whatever size you want to use. I prefer to use colored poster board, rather than basic white, but that’s your choice. Now gather together some old magazines or newspapers you have lying around and browse for pictures. You want pictures that depict what it is that you wish to attract. For instance, if you want a red convertible, find a picture of exactly the model you desire and cut it out. Make sure your pictures are as close to exact as you can get, as this will ultimately affect the outcome. Magazines, newspapers, and your own real photos are all great sources for pictures and ideas.

Once you have gathered all of the pictures you plan to use, paste them to the poster board. You may wish to write under each one your actual intention, so if you want a new house and you paste a picture of a new house that you want, write “My New House” underneath the picture in a nice black marker. How you place them on the board is up to you - straight? Angled? Collage-style? It doesn’t make any difference, just so long as your desires are represented in the pictures on your poster. You may find that you need more than one poster to hold all of the things you want to manifest!

Once your poster is complete, mount it in a place where you will see it several times each day. Perhaps on a office wall, in a hallway, on the back of your office door - anywhere you will see the picture daily. When you think about it, stop and examine your poster and think about your desires, while feeling expectant about what you have coming your way. However, even if you forget and never look at the poster again, as you pass it each day, it will register subconsciously. The subconscious is very powerful - manifestation happens easiest when the subconscious is on board rather than fighting. A poster is an excellent way of bypassing your subconscious resistance.

Most of all, when you see your poster you should feel happy. You should feel charged about the things that you are bringing into. This is probably the most important part of your poster - if it stirs up excitement in you, it will help you to manifest your intents very quickly. When combining this practice with a daily routine of visualizing yourself with your desires, you may find that you are manifesting far more quickly than you even thought possible!

Reading won’t make it happen - go design your manifestation poster now!

The Science Behind the Law of Attraction

Tuesday, March 4th, 2008
by Dick Ingersoll

Since the very successful movie The Secret came out, people across the world have taken a fascination with the Law of Attraction. The Law of Attraction states that we actualize reality through our thoughts and intentions. But does this “law” have any scientific verification?

Currently, the most misunderstood branch of science is quantum physics. Quantum physics investigates the fabric of our reality and attempts to explain how the micro affects the macro. Quantum physics is still largely immature, as we do not have the tools yet to see deep enough (small enough) into matter to know everything. However, what has been revealed so far is more than enough from which to grasp a practical understanding of the Law of Attraction.

One of the most intriguing discoveries of quantum physics is that matter behaves like a particle or a wave. Let me explain. A particle is solid matter - it is limited to being in one place at a time, and you can always identify its location. A wave, however, is not a finite point. The definition of a wave, as it relates to physics, is as follows: a progressive disturbance propagated from point to point in a medium or space without progress or advance by the points themselves, as in the transmission of sound or light. Sound confusing? Don’t worry, you don’t have to understand that, just realize that waves are not finite. Light and sound are examples of waves.

Now what quantum physics found is that when firing very small particles called electrons through two slits, if the electrons were observed while going through the slits, then they acted as particles. Each electron picked one slit, went through it, and hit the screen on the back. The result after firing hundreds or thousands of these was a two-slit pattern. However, if the electrons were NOT observed while going through the slits, they created a large interference pattern on the screen behind, which is the pattern caused by a wave. In addition, the pattern showed interference from the slits, which further proves that the electrons passed through the slits as a wave, and not as solid particles.

So what does that mean for us? When you consider the fact that electrons and other small particles are what our entire world is built out of, the implications are enormous. An observer actually alters objective events on a subatomic level. Our act of observation, thought, and emotion affect the world. When scientists attempted to watch an electron and decide where it would go, they found that wherever the observer anticipated it would show up is where it would show up. The implications of this are equally huge - our expectations, thoughts and beliefs literally form the world around us on a subatomic scale!

Obviously, the ability of our expectations and beliefs to alter and create reality is precisely what the Law of Attraction is teaching us. Now that you have a little science behind the Law of Attraction, maybe you can put your current beliefs aside and try it out. If someone told you that you could have everything you wanted, would that at least be worth giving it a try? Suspend your doubt, and be blown away!

your perfect life is a daydream away!

Saturday, March 1st, 2008
by Dick Ingersoll

Almost everyone has heard of the Law of Attraction, and how it gives you the ability to bring exactly the things, people, and circumstances into your life that you desire. You probably also have a dream life in mind - that optimal life you would most like to be living. You may occasionally daydream about it, but you might not do so as much as you did, say, as a child. Even when you daydream, you probably “come back to reality” afterwards, and maybe even feel silly for daydreaming. I’m here to tell you today that your perfect life is a mere fantasy away.

Visualizing is the most important aspect of utilizing the Law of Attraction. What do you think that “visualizing” is? It’s focused, intentional daydreaming! Using your imagination willfully (rather than as a guilty pleasure, which we as respectible adults should never take part in), you open up doors of potential you may not have dreamed possible.

Most of us, as adults, do not visualize in any type of concentrated manner. We daydream for a few seconds here and there, spontaneously. We do not choose to daydream on a specific objective we have, because we have been taught to consider that a frivolous activity. Daydreaming, however, is anything but frivolous.

Daydreaming, when focused, is the sincerest form of practice for using the Law of Attraction to bring forth your desires into your life.

Take a few moments each and every day to sit back, relax, and truly visualize what you desire. Daydream for as long as you can before your mind starts to drift, then continue your regular daily activities. By making the conscious decision to daydream without shame, you will begin to put out that powerful, excited emotional energy that so many children generate day after day. This is the energy of creation. This is the energy of attraction.

As you begin to foster this compelling practice, you will find that your wishes begin to flow more naturally into your life, with little effort on your part. It can be far easier to attract your desires than you imagine at this time. Let the power of your visualizations and the focus of your intent manifest your desires into your life. But beware, once this process begins to blossom, you can’t stop it. You will forevermore find yourself living a life that more and more resembles your ideal life.
