Home Business And Private Label Rights.

Monday, April 28th, 2008
by Lucas Heijn

Be your own boss. Have control of your life. Spend more time with your family. Do you hate your Job and wish you could do something else?

All of us desire financial security. Many persons dream of becoming rich. For most it will remain just a dream. We must do more than dream we need to take action. How will private label rights content help us to turn a dream into reality?

There are many forms of internet marketing. Affiliate marketing is just one of these. You have probably already worked at affiliate marketing. For those who haven’t tried it, it is selling other people’s products for a commission. Mostly a very good commission, usually from 50% - 70%. What are the benefits of affiliate marketing?

1. You have a ready made product ready to sell. 2. You don’t need a web site. 3. There is no customer support. This is handled by the seller not the affiliate. 4. Your commission can be a generous share of the profit.

As you can see there are some benefits to affiliate marketing. Most internet marketers selling their own products also promote other products as affiliate marketers.

If affiliate marketing is so great why go to the trouble and expense of creating your own? Because the advantages of having your own product far outweigh the advantages of being an affiliate.

Have you heard of viral marketing? Well this is the advantage. You see, when you create your own product you have control of what you put into it. Most products have a resource section. In this section there are all sorts of useful links to all sorts of services and information. Some lead to free products. Others promote services and products that you own or are an affiliate of. In creating your own product you are able to insert links that could potentially continue to bring you an income for years to come.

Yes, Yes I heard you! You can’t write to save yourself. This is the way most people feel. But can you cut and paste? Using private label rights material means you can produce a new Product.

If you own private label rights material you are in a position to create your own product. This product can be created so that it will work for you over a long time.

All you need to do is get it out there.

You’ve Heard Of PLR What Is IT?

Saturday, April 26th, 2008
by Lucas Heijn

Some years ago it was all resell and master resell rights. You bought the goods and could use it as well as sell it and get you money back plus.

PLR (private label rights) have overtaken master resell rights (MMR). And there are good reasons for this. This is because there are definite advantages in buying private label rights (PLR).

You see you as the seller of the master resell rights product got a benefit in that for the sale you could keep 100% of the profit. The big disadvantage to you was that you were unable to change anything. You continued to sell someone else’s product along with many other resellers. Each time you sold another copy, you were distributing the links the author had placed in the software.

Who was the biggest beneficiary of the sale you made. You think it was you, but in fact it is the author who is in position to receive a residual income through the links placed in the software. You profited once. The author continues to profit.

Private label rights make you the author. This means that you can place your own viral links into the products and now get others to distribute them for you. Viral links create residual income.

Another big benefit of private label is that you have the ability of creating a fresh new product to introduce to the market. Most private label material comes with editable graphic files. This means that you can give the product a new look and feel.

It is easy to see that private label rights software is far better than the older master resell rights.

One of the things you can do with private label rights is to purchase u number of products in the same niche. Products that are related in content. With these you are now able to pick pieces out of each of them. Do a little research on the internet to make sure the material is relevant and up to date. After this you can tie the pieces together and create a brand new information product.

You will need to check the private label license to see what you are allowed to do with it. The best ones give you unrestricted rights allowing you to do as you please.

Private label rights give you much more freedom than master resell rights and have the ability for you to create viral links that can continue to produce an income for you for years to come.

You Can Write Well

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008
by Jessica R Hartley

All forms of communication are important but the virtual world we now all inhabit has turned the spotlight on the written word as the key form of getting your message across. However, this is easier said than done for some as, for whatever reason, they can’t or won’t write.

Like any skill, writing is something which improves with practice. It is also a skill that will atrophy through lack of use.

Writing is simply the process of capturing your thoughts on paper or computer screen. Instead of letting your thoughts escape into the ether, writing them down is the process of lassoing them and keeping them for future use. What is more difficult is capturing the thoughts worthy of recording from the countless notions that pass through our overstimulated minds on a moment by moment basis. I guess this could be described as sorting the wheat from the chaff.

You could probably get as many different definitions of good writing as the number of people you ask. However, a general standard would surely be text that is easy to understand that successfully transmits the intended message.

It is very tempting for a writer to throw himself into a new project without planning or researching his theme. Indeed this is a method followed by a number of successful writers but it is not one that is necessarily to be recommended as it leads to numerous rewrites and wasted effort. At the other end of the spectrum are the writers who spend far too long researching and planning to the extent that it becomes a form of procrastination.

When starting to write be courageous and develop your own style. If every writer wrote in the same way, readers would quickly become bored. Some formal or business writing will dictate a style and perhaps a layout, but this does not prevent a writer from embellishing the work with their own personality.

My definition of good writing is something that makes me think and question any previously held views I may have had on the subject. It is writing that elicits a response in me. I want to have reason to stop and think about the words I am reading. I want the words to tell me something I didn’t already know or to provide me with a new angle on my existing experiences.

It saddens me when I come across web content in particular which is there for the sake of being there. It provides nothing. No interest, no entertainment and certainly no value. It leaves me feeling cheated and breaks trust with the author.

Once the planning and writing has taken place, the writer’s job is still not complete. Clear and concise written pieces are not the result of the author simply writing. There is at least one other stage in the process. Outstanding pieces of written work are the result of tough, unsentimental editing.

Some confuse editing with proofreading when in reality they are two different processes. A proof reader looks for errors. An editor looks for opportunities to improve the text by shortening sentences, removing adverbs and adjectives and removing ambiguities. Editing is the process which turns a manuscript into a masterpiece.

I am an avid reader and passionate writer so I have to declare myself as biased. I want to encourage others to write - either for themselves or others. I want you to experience the joy of creating a piece of written work that adds value to others. It’s a way of connecting and sharing. If this piece has demystified the process of writing and given you some inspiration, I shall be happy.

Dare To Overcome Writer’s Block

Saturday, April 5th, 2008
by Dennis Stokes

Do you suffer from writer’s block and what is it?

Oh boy! I’ve got to get this article finished and I have absolutely nothing to write. It just won’t come.

Is this your problem? “Not mine”, you say, but come on… we all have had the same experience of not being able to think of what to say or write. It’s that dreaded experience of having….

WRITER’S BLOCK!!!!

Uhhg! I strain and strain and I still can’t get anything out on my head and onto that darn page.

Writer’s block is an absolute enraging and desperate experience. All you want to do is write, but it just won’t come about however hard you try.

You break into a cold sweat as you try to force something out. The harder you try, the worse it gets. You scream at the top of your lungs scaring everybody in your house, but it doesn’t make anything start working for you.

So what brings on writer’s block?

Well it could very well be fear. You fear what you have to do and the stress just turns your mind off. You might not think you really know how to write and you’re afraid of what other’s might think, so you have to perform. Or you might just be scared to death of writer’s block itself.

Writer’s block can happen to anyone in any situation. You may think you have to have a masterpiece or you will get picked apart by all the critics out there waiting to pounce on your next article.

Here are some ideas that you can put to use to overcome writer’s block once and for all.

I am here to tell you that WRITER’S BLOCK CAN BE OVERCOME.

Please, remain seated.

[1] Know your topic. If you prepare properly and really know your subject, you will likely have a lot to write about. Research will not only prepare you to write, but will bring you confidence. You’ll know what you’re talking about and it will come out.

[2] Forget about being perfect. When you are experiencing writer’s block you need to forget about writing and just type or write about any thoughts that come to mind. Even if it doesn’t make any sense, just get it out on paper. Keep writing whatever comes to mind. I’m serious, even if you think it’s silly, right it down. Forget about what your drafts will look like. Don’t judge what is worthy to go down on paper or not. Write it all down and you will be surprised at not only what comes out of you, but the fact that you are writing and thats what counts.

[3] Don’t edit while you are writing. This goes hand in hand with the last tip. Just let the thoughts flow without even focusing on any writing structure. Forget the spelling, grammar, sentence structure, etc. The idea is to write down your thoughts without any thought to the correctness of it. You can structure it later after you have the thoughts down on paper. Write like you are talking to a friend at a coffee shop. Just having a casual conversation.

[4] Forget about the first sentence. Get rid of writer’s block by writing down what comes to mind in any order. You don’t have to always start with the beginning. Start at the end if that’s all you can think of in your writing. As you get something started, you will activate your mind in a way and the other parts of your article will surface.

[5] Act as if. You act like you are a great writer that always has something great to say, you will have something to say. There is real power in acting like what you want to be. You have the talent in you and as you act confident, you will be able to write.

[6] As the old Nike slogan says, “Just do it!” Stop procrastinating right now. Keep your notes close by and start writing. Use the ideas others have had on the subject as a way to get your thoughts going. Remember, there really isn’t anything original. Of course you never want to copy someone word for word because thats called plagiarism and illegal. It is very acceptable to take the many ideas of others and put those ideas into your own words, adding your own experiences and writing style and voila you have an original piece of work

To summarize, you can get over your writer’s block. You might not think your writing is the greatest, but don’t let that stop you. There’s always those out there that will learn from you and will appreciate what you’re writing. The more you write the better you’ll get, so just keep going and you will even surprise yourself.

One way to promote your website and the product can be achieved for free. As a bonus in addition, this “free” method can boost their sites and sales, doubling and even tripling their income. How does this work? Write articles related to your site and submit them to “free content” submission sites. Easy to do, it takes little time and can increase your website traffic, sales and, of course, your income.

How can article written stimulate traffic and revenue? The article on the free content site contains a link to your own site. The reader, after reading your article, and may choose to click on the link and you pay an unexpected visit. Having them on the sites of free content is also making these articles available to other webmasters who wish to publish the article on their site.

If so, your article will include a link to your site. And anyone who reads the article on this site can always click on the link to visit your site. As the list of your articles published bigger, and more and more of them are appearing on various Internet sites, the total number of links to your site is also increasing. Major search engines place great importance on links to Web sites so that they can determine the significance of a given site.

The more incoming links the website, more importance attached to the search engines. This certainly increase the placement of your site in search results. If site is to promote a product or service, the ties that have reached their articles mean more potential customers for you. Even if just by browsing visitors, you never know if it might be the need for what you are offering in the future.

There are also those who already have specific things they need on their mind but cannot decide yet between the many choices online. Chances are, they may stumble upon one of your articles, gets interested by the contents you wrote, go to your site and became enticed by your promotions. See how easy that is?

Search engines not only the index of websites, but also index published articles. Also index any article that is written about her own website on the subject. So once someone searches for the same item, the results list will take place or might even show the articles you have written. And to think, no effort on their part was used to bring to your site. Recently published articles and search engines. It is no wonder why many webmasters are suddenly reviving their old styles of writing and taking time to write more articles on your site to other means of promotion.

Getting their site known is easier if they have articles increasing their links and traffic and making it accessible for visitors searching the internet. Since many people are now taking their buying needs online, having your site on the search engines through your articles is one way of letting them know about you and your business.

The good thing with articles is that you can write about things that people would want to know about. This can be achieved in the lightest mood but professional manner, with a little not-so-obvious sales pitch added. If you think about it, only a few minutes of your time is spent on writing one article and submitting to free content site. In the shortest span of time also, those are distributed to more sites than you can think of. Even before you know what is happening, you are getting more visitors than you previously had.

If you think you are wasting your time writing these articles, fast forward to the time when you will see them printed and wide-spread on the internet. Not to mention the sudden attention and interest that people are giving your website and your products or services. Try writing some articles and you will be assured of the sudden surge in site traffic, link popularity and interest. Before you know it, you will be doubling and even tripling your earnings.

Article Marketing - Efficient Way To Increase Website Traffic

Saturday, March 29th, 2008
by Shawn Montgomery

A solid method of bringing people to your site is article marketing. If you have never tried article marketing<, it begins by creating articles which include links back to your site. Once completed, these works are posted on “reprint directories” that specialize in accumulating such texts.

Almost everyone who owns their own websites will visit article reprint directories on a semi-regular basis in order to find new content to place upon their sites. When you have the opportunity to submit articles to such directories, you are granting explicit permission for others to employ your writing on their site, for free. The only concession is that the website owners must typically include an “about the author” blurb following every article that they use. This can include your biographical information and perhaps a link back to your website.

You can list your article on several different directories. If your article is well written it can be listed on a great number of websites. Once your article is listed on these websites they will include a short biography and a link back to your website.

Consider becoming an expert in article marketing for your website. It is a very cost efficient way for you to increase your website traffic annually. Well chosen articles that are relevant to your target audience will give your site credibility with your visitors and can help build your company while developing a professional site.

The goal of article marketing is to make readers go to an article of yours which is posted on your site. When they arrive there, you have a much greater opportunity to communicate the remainder of your sales pitch. If you really comprehend the working of search engine optimization, you can word your copy so as to achieve a significantly superior level in the listings of search results.

Article marketing is a way to get your articles published at little or no cost. Once you present your articles and they are well accepted because of their unique content you will be a sought after writer. Having your articles on various sites will also lead more visitors to your site.

Any article that is written with the intention of increasing your online website traffic has to be loaded with search engine keywords, ones that help to create a high-trafficked article and determine the visibility of the article on the most popular search engines. The objective is to select the keywords according to the ranking of your site. If the site is ranked lower, then only a few competitive keyword phrases must be included.

Something else you may consider in bringing in high traffic to your website through articles is through the creation of articles that have a great many links pointing to it. This can be done through submission to article directories, and submitting to newsletter publishers. Such publishers are frequently on the lookout for fresh, unique content online. Yet another method is to write an E-Book. Through this, you can compile your articles into an e-book, and develop a huge stream of traffic.

Article marketing is a great way to bring people to your website. Short articles are first written and then published into directories with links back to your site. Owners of websites can visit these directories and get unique content for their site for free. The more sites that pick up your article, the more links back to your site you will obtain. This is a cheap way to market your site. These articles will get people to your site, where you have a chance to engage them. Unique articles will get you more visitors on your site. Using buzzwords is important. Articles can be used in various ways.

Ace Your Ad Copy

What percentage of prospects come your way as a result of your ad copy? What percentage of sales do you close because of your ads? Well, increase both percentages with some of our tips, tailored to your own ad campaigns.

1. ERRORS - It’s tough to have 100 percent perfect ad copy. Nearly impossible! So tell your readers that whoever spots five errors in your ad copy due to grammar issues or misspelled words, wins a reward. This way your readers will not only be reading your copy longer, increasing the likelihood of purchasing awhile they’re at it, you’ll get editing done at no charge for your revised printing or online publication.

2. YES - Lead your readers to the conclusion you want; that is to say, “Yes” to your offer, by asking them several yes and no questions in your ad copy that have affirmative answers. Have the questions be based on the main offer and focus on what will happen if they do not buy. But don’t set a negative tone by having them reply “No.” Or by the time they’re through reading, they might say, “No” to you!

3. CHARITY - Tie in a percentage of your sales with one of your favorite charities. And make mention of this in your ad copy. This is a win-win strategy because your company gives back to society plus your clients read about it; it improves your image in their eyes and shares your concerns. And they give, too. Everyone helps each other.

4. GUARANTEE - Include a good, solid guarantee in your offer. For examples, look at the last thing you purchased and check out the guarantee. In a nutshell, make it a lifetime offer and / or give them back MORE than they gave you.

5. PS - Since most people look for this feature, add it! Say something in your P.S. - like give them a Bonus offer if they reply by a certain deadline. Or focus on your best reason why the reader should buy - and NOW.

6. CONTACT - Do include complete contact information - that works! Test any email addresses and telephone numbers before going to press

So next time you need to ace your ad copy, go back over what you wrote and tweak it here and there for improvements. Better yet, have a contest and invite your readers to do it for you! How’s that for a win-win solution?!

Writing Articles for Your Website

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008
by Steven E

With a little effort and a sound, reusable structure, you can write articles to draw traffic to your website, ad copy to sell your products, and generally enhance your presence on the Internet. With these methods, you will gain the attention of those all-important search engines and get your products and ideas seen.

There is no mystery about the basic structure for writing website articles. Each article should have a beginning, or lead, middle, or content section, and an ending, or conclusion. Not that difficult, is it?

The extra ingredient you want for website articles or ad copy that will draw traffic is this: targeted keywords or phrases. Don’t be frightened by the idea of writing an article structured around keywords. It is much easier than it sounds. If you have researched a keyword(s) you want to get traffic for in the search engines, a good rule of thumb would be this: Use your keyword(s) once in the title, once in the beginning or lead, once in each paragraph of the article content, and once in the conclusion.

If you can use this basic structure — keyword(s) rich title, lead, content, and conclusion — you will find it easy to write content that will draw search engines to your website.

Take this sure-fire structure and combine it with a bit of research on the Internet or better yet in a nearby library.

Libraries are your “secret weapon” to find material for your sure-fire article structure. Here is the “offline” advantage — if people are writing articles targeting the keywords “electronic dog fences,” for example, by researching the Internet, they are bound to be seeing similar articles. This may not lead you to duplicate their content, but it certainly won’t help. If you go to a local library and find some magazines or newspaper articles about “electronic dog fences,” you’ll be ahead of the competition.

Use that research material with your keyword(s) and write something in the range of 300-500 words and you have your article. Don’t be frightened at the idea of writing 300-500 words. Think of it this way: One double-spaced page printed out with one-inch margins all around holds about 200-250 words. If you’ve read a few articles and taken notes, you probably have more than enough ideas and information for two double-spaced printed pages.

Using the above example “electronic dog fences,” you might try the title: “Four Ways Electronic Dog Fences Enhance Your Pet’s Life.” That isn’t the snappiest title you could find, but it does tell someone and the search engines what the article is about — while using the keywords “electronic dog fences.”

Then take the research you have done and come up with four major benefits for dogs and their owners related to electronic dog fences. Your lead might be something like: “Electronic dog fences not only make happy neighbors, they can make life better for your pet, too.”

Use each of the “four ways” you mentioned in the title as a section for your article. If you want a short article, make a paragraph for each of the “four ways,” a longer article may require two or three paragraphs about each of the “four ways.”

When you reach the conclusion, you want to do two things: Try to summarize the lead or title in the conclusion by using the “electronic dog fences” keyword(s) again, and quit.

Use this sure-fire structure and you’ll find you can build successful, keyword-rich articles for your website — even if you don’t think of yourself as a writer!

Writing Press Releases Made Easy

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008
by Elizabeth Murphy

Press releases are a great way to draw extra attention to your business and create a bit of a buzz around new events and products. However, if poorly written, your press release will never be picked up by the media and your great news, even if newsworthy, won’t see the light of day. Here’s how to write a press release that will have the media begging for more.

Give It an Angle Your press release needs to have an angle built in so that it is easy for an editor to turn it into a front page story if necessary. Write your press release as if it were an article and you have a very good chance of it being picked up. Editors love it when they don’t have to work too hard.

For your press release to garner favor, it’s a good idea to turn it into a story that people will be interested in reading. For example, no one will care that you just got new carpet in your office, but what can create a newsworthy release is the fact that the new carpet is made from recycled plastic and marks the beginning of a green era for your business.

Make It Snappy A press release is not a college essay and it shouldn’t read like one. Write it like a magazine article. A good tip is to take a look at the publication you want to get into and write the press release to fit that style. This gives you an added advantage . . . the reporter won’t have to struggle to make your article fit into the magazine. To keep your press release interesting and fun to read, make sure you write actively. That means using active instead of passive verbs and making the action leap out to the readers.

For example, rather than say; “The new carpet was installed”, write “We lay the carpet ourselves to save money” or something similar, using an active voice. Also, you will want to keep the press release fairly short. Most editors don’t have time to be reading fifty pages on how your business is coming out with a new product.

Split It Up Using subtitles and bullet points is an excellent way to make your press release easier to read. To do this easily, write down all the information you want conveyed, in a magazine style, then go back and divide the report into sections. Label each one with a short subtitle. Extra ideas or resources can be listed with bullet points.

Using bold or italics for some important points will help them stand out as well and can be a good way to get busy editors to check out your report. They will be able to simply scan it and get an idea as to what your press release is about, making it easy to decide whether or not to use it.

Headlines Count The title you give your press release could mean the difference between it getting read or just tossed in the junk pile. You want a title that isn’t too long, but catches people’s attention. Again, a quick look at the publication you want to get into can be a very helpful way to figure out what they are looking for. In general, stick to active verbs and get straight to the point. A vague, wishy washy headline isn’t going to win you any points!

Short, newspaper type headlines are almost always good. The editor may change it, but chances are, if you offer something usable your press release will get used pretty much as is.

Writing a press release is fairly simple. Make it newsworthy and interesting to read as well as nice and easy and you’ll have a very good chance of it getting featured.

Go Deep!

What’s the real reason that people buy your product or service? Because they recognize that your product or service is going to help them. It’s going to make their life easier, or will save them money, or let them rest a little easier in some way. And while your fancy website looks great, and is probably appreciated, the bottom line is that it’s not going to solve their issue.

One really good way to discover all of the benefits that your product or service has to offer is to write down

“People buy my product (service, etc.) so that…”

then list the benefits. Here’s an example.

“They can lose weight”

“They will feel healthier”

“They can wear their “skinny” clothes”

Got yours down? Ok, good. Now DIG. Take each of those benefits you came up with and do the same thing as above for each one. For example take the first benefit

“People buy my product so they will lose weight”

“So they look better”

“So they’ll be in better shape”

“So they’ll have more dates”

Repeat the process again and again. Keep digging.

This is a quick and easy way to make sure you address as many benefits as possible that your target market is interested in. Be sure to include them in any copy or ads that you’re writing. Don’t leave any out, you never know who will read your copy and say “Wow. That’s EXACTLY what I want”.

Writing effective ads and copy is all about being able to get into the “head” of your client or prospect. And being able to let them know that what you have to offer is the solution that they’ve been searching for.
